Beautiful small lake. You can walk around it fairly quickly.

The last 6 miles of road gets really rough. I made it in a 2020 Subaru Outback and that's the minimum off-road capability I would recommend for this, if you attempt in a regular sedan I can almost guarantee you'll regret after you either get stuck or damage your car. Beautiful once you get there though.

Beautiful area, secluded, fun place to camp.

Great camping and fishing, it’s a small lake so the fish aren’t very large. Last 6 miles past Crown King isn’t maintained and is rough. If you’re vehicle isn’t 4x4 and you don’t have enough ground clearance you’re going to wreck your vehicle and get stranded with no help near by. Very narrow road. I have 2013 GMC 1500, I’d consider that to be the minimum requirements for that road. There is no plans in the near future for the park service to grade the road.

Been here a million times. One of my favorite spots in all of AZ and honestly it's where I've requested to have my ashes spread... definitely a gorgeous place in AZ to visit..
